Kentucky Alpaca Center carries an inventory of Suri and Huacaya raw fibers sold by the ounce. Although perfectly suitable for dying, Alpaca fiber is available in 22 distinct natural colors that can be blended into an infinite palette of colors. (Our color selection may vary depending on inventory available.)

Alpaca has little to no guard hair and no lanolin, which increases the usable fiber per pound and simplifies scouring, carding, and combing for the spinner. The fiber is unusually strong and resilient, yet incredibly lightweight, softy, silky, smooth, and warm.
Raw fiber is without cleaning, picking, carding or other processing -- it's straight off the alpaca.
