The safety of your animals is Elite Alpaca Equipment’s primary concern. Our entire line of panels, chutes, gates and feeders are specially designed and constructed to eliminate common hazards found in other equipment.

Alpaca heads and feet can easily and quickly become trapped in other panels and gates. Unlike the wider construction of other equipment, Elite Alpaca Equipment panels and gates are more narrowly constructed of 8-gauge, 2-inch x 4-inch wire mesh. This prevents legs from getting caught in pens unlike 4x4 wire mesh of other panels. Our low ground/floor clearance provides the same level of protection as our exterior farm fence by being only 1.5” inches above the ground.

Our 8-gauge 2x4 mesh panels and gates are specially designed to provide these safety benefits:

• prevents alpacas from accidentally placing their feet and legs outside the panel
• keeps out predators
• prevents small, inquisitive cria from poking their heads through panels
• resists bending better than other equipment because of strong construction
• resists rust and corrosion due to an industry-leading 7-step electrostatic paint process
• is less likely to cut an alpaca and is less likely to be abrasive to animals in close quarters
• allows excellent airflow

Because the mesh extends farther up than other panels, your alpacas are less likely to become trapped between the top bars or gain leverage to move the panels. Your alpacas stay safely inside the containment area, and the possibility of them getting “caught” by the panels -- especially when the panels are not firmly connected to stationary objects -- is eliminated. Plus, with the extended 2x4 mesh, small hands cannot unexpectedly reach in to touch and spook your alpacas.

The low 1.5-inch clearance keeps your alpacas in and dogs and other threats out by preventing the animals from sticking their heads or noses under a panel and raising it.

Dependable Durability

With 18-gauge 13/16-inch-square steel tubing construction, Elite Alpaca Equipment is the most durable panel available on the market today. The special 8-gauge, 2x4 wire mesh helps to reinforce Elite Alpaca Equipment panel, making them stronger, less likely to bend, and warp resistant.

While many panel manufactures use a powder-coat painting process, each component of Elite Alpaca Equipment is processed through a seven-step washing and cleaning, followed by a multi-dip, electrostatic coating. These additional steps allow protective paint to penetrate even the smallest welds and joints, thereby producing a high-quality, extremely durable finish that is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

Because our special extended 2x4 mesh eliminates the opportunity for your alpacas to slip their heads through panels and access anything outside the panels, storing hay, feed and other items close to pens is no longer a problem. If straw or cardboard bedding is used, the lower bottom rail, coupled with the closer wire mesh helps keep the bedding inside the panels and not in the walkways or in adjoining areas.

Mesh Panels

All Elite Alpaca Equipment panels constructed with 8-gauge, 2-inch x 4-inch mess. All are 4- and 5-feet tall and are available in 4-, 5-, 6-, 8-, 9-, and 10-foot panels.

Chutes and Scales

Elite Alpaca Equipment has chutes for both alpacas and llamas, with compatible platform scales.

Feeders

Elite Alpaca Equipment offers single and double-side feeders. Sizes include 1.5 feet (single-sided) and 4-, 6-, and 8-foot single and double-sided.

Gates

Elite Alpaca Equipment gates are 4- and 5-feet tall and available in 3- and 4-foot widths. A 4-foot x 4-foot creep gate is also available.
